Daizi Zheng: the green phone

Don’t you have sometimes the impression that new technologies go to fast or aren’t amazed to see what we are able to do with anything? Daizi Zheng was asked to design a eco-friendly for Nokia. Et voila, the first phone with a bio battery that work with softdrink! You fill up the phone with sugary drink and once you don’t have battery empty it and fill it up again. A single charge is four time longer than a regular. Great for the environ but let you think about what we are actually drinking… Please check her website, she does some cool stuff. Trade show

In february there will be some important International trade show in Europe:

Germany

Paperworld: from  30thof January to the 2nd of february . Leading international trade fair for paper, office and stationery.  (Frankfurt)

Toy fair: from the 4th to the 9th of February. Trade fair for toys, hobbies and leisure-time activities (Nuremberg)

England:

Spring Fair: from the 7th to the 11th of February. (Birmingham)

I work for a variety of mediums – I do a lot of editorial / magazine work day to day. But I also work for Publishers and advertising agency for Products such as Kiwi shoe products, Braun, Garnier etc

interview: Inkymole

How long have you been in the illustration and typography industry and how
did you start
?
- 16 years! I started drawing and writing as a child with my dad’s ink pens. Studied art at school, before going to Birmingham Institute of Art and Design to study a illustration degree. I got my first commission job in the second year of university, so by the time I left I already had a modest list of clients and some published work. Read more
