“The Chicago bean” of Anish Kapoor
I’ve recently been in Chicago, it was an extremely short visit but I must say that I’ve been wonderfully impressed by the architecture of the Windy City and the stories of its buildings. One of the things that totally caught my attention is that giant “bean” in the middle of the AT&T plaza. Couldn’t wait to go back home to figure out everything about that sculpture, thanks to wiki, I know that real name of that monument is Cloud Gate and it was inspire by liquid mercury -personally, at first sight it looked like an alien had just landed in the city in his very futuristic space ship-. The artist that created this sculpture is Anish Kapoor, check out his website to see more of his work.
