Little daisies to continue on a green note: happy week end everyone

Nowadays, Kids have a lots of plastic toys that cost a lot but became easily useless or forgotten somewhere as kids got either bored or too old to play with it. From there, a concept was created, renting a toy. Which is perfect, as not only it’s a good saving,as for a little fee you can often change toys, and saving space in your sweet home but it’s as well eco-friendly, you are not going to accumulate unused plastic toy which are going to end to the trash. In France, for the first time this concept got there through internet, thank to Dimdom, a budding entreprise. What make it my fave website of the moment? Their advertising campaign to get traffic. For their first advertising campaign they decided to go green: planting 1000 trees! For that you just have to published a post about them in your blog with a link to their site -validated your participation with a permalink in their comment. Five trees will be planted for every different blog that participate. So let’s go Green ^3^ !!!

This is the book jacket illustration for La boussole sans aiguille by Kokomoina Bacar Tabibou , a comorian journalist, soon available to purchase at edition de la Lune . I particularly liked doing the jacket of this book as usually comorian literature is different, more down to earth, and the poems here are rather dark, a least most of them. If know french, and like poetry or just like african literature I’ll recommended it.

Karine Raczak, is a woman who’s starting her very own business, as a freelance assistant manager and she requested a female silhouette to integrate to the logo she designed.

The french site la lanterne rouge is going to start its first campaign, in order to attract new artists, professionel or not . Over there you can have a sort of portfolio online, you get your own page, you can have a blog, all sort of widgets. They’re having a little contest for the first ad, and that’s my submission.

Unlike americans kids, spanish kids go back to school in september, and this year again, I’ll be in charge of the blog of the School parents association. So in order to make it a bit more pleasant I decided that this year, I will fill it up with little illustrations.

It’s been a while since I upload some illustration to the stock. Here the last one, the color are different, but I think it keeps with the same spirit: a modern and  stylish woman.

Until the end of this month in The Casa Municipal de la Cultura of Avilés (Spain), you’ll be able to see the exibition of the photograph David Garcia Menendez.

Until the 28 of september The Laboral center of Art of Gijón is holding an interesting exhibition “ El pasado en el presente y lo propio en lo ajeno” , with the works of different  talented artists  if you have  the possibility to visit it, do so .  The video “Derrocar el poder”  of Avelino Sala was very interesting.  

You may as well check out the exhibition “A Perfect Day” done by the artist communauty los Purificados , this one will last until the 24th of August. “The perfect day” illustrated the Everyday Life through the eyes of 48 photographs.
