The advantage of working in coffee shop for a freelance creative, besides drinking nice coffee, is that you can work somewhere else than your studio/home, you see people, different things but the downside is that you don’t always have all your material and well let’s be honest, coffee isn’t free. Quite a few people, talked to me about an app that makes you feel as if your in a coffee shop: Coffitivity.

What’s Coffitivity?

It’s an app that reproduces the sound of a coffee place, so it gives the illusion of being in a coffee place. There are so far three options,

  • Morning Murmur
  • Lunchtime Lounge
  • University Undertones

My opinion

I tried all the 3 options. The one I like the best was Morning Murmur, after a while I totally forgot it’s an app. It could be nice if more options were available, maybe coffee place less crowded and less noisy. Personally, I prefer working with music on the background, a tv serie, or just go to my favourite coffee place, so I don’t think I will use it a lot but I do think it’s a good idea, so I ‘ll keep the app in my phone.

I check on their website and there are other sounds if you get a premium account.

This app is available for Android and IOS or you can listen those sound in their website.
